Stam’s Sweet Readers

Stam’s Luncheonette is proud to announce the launch of Stam’s Sweet Readers at H.H. Garnet Elementary, a community-driven reading incentive program designed to foster a love of literacy among local students in Kent County. By meeting reading goals set by their teacher, students in grades 1 through 5 have the chance to earn a VIP silver platter ice cream experience at Stam’s Luncheonette for every month they reach their goal!

Each student will get a Stam’s Sweet Readers Button decorated with empty cones. If the student reads the goal they will receive an ice-cream-scoop sticker to fill their cone for that month. After meeting their monthly goal, students will receive a certificate from Garnet that is good for a “Build Your Own Sundae Spectacular” at Stam’s Luncheonette and can shop for a free book of their choice from The Bookplate (value up to $15). Students who reach their reading goals each month and fill the entire button for the school year will be invited to a special VIP celebration at Stam's and receive a $50 gift card to use at The Bookplate. 

Stam’s will be at H.H Garnet’s Wellness night on Wednesday, February 25 with more information for Garnet families interested in participating.

While the program is starting exclusively at H.H. Garnet Elementary through the 2026-2027 school year, we hope to expand the initiative to more schools in the future. In addition to Stam’s and The Bookplate, contributing local sponsors to the program include Lippincott Designs, and Dominique Ellis Public Relations..
